Raids al vent is not a competition, although arrival is registered at certain points throughout the route. The objective is to complete the route while enjoying the Empordà region.

Participants should provide the basic materials required for the route: bike in adequate conditions during the trip and a basic repair kit. If participants do not have this material, it can be hired at Raids al vent.

Before beginning the activity, participants should go to Sappy Sport – Raids al vent (Plaça Pau Cassals, 2 – FIGUERES) to collect the route map and free gift.

All participants that finish the route with all control points stamped can collect their sports top or exclusive gift from Raids al vent.

Respecting the natural environment is essential and riding should be carried out with maximum caution. Litter must not be left, nor must the area be spoilt in any way; the regulations established by the Park Management, competent organisations or land owners must be adhered to at all times. Indications stipulated by park regulations to complete stages on foot must also be followed.

It is the participants’ responsibility to respect Spanish traffic regulations.

Instructions must be followed at all times without exception during activities that take place with a guide.

Raids al vent is an open-air adventure. Bad weather conditions, unless extreme, are not considered to be a reason for cancelling the trip.

When preparing your equipment, please remember that you will have to carry it throughout the trip. You can also arrange for the organisation to take it for you.

The organisation cannot be held responsible for the incorrect use of itineraries or for the possible incorrect actions of participants.

Information provided by participants will be used exclusively for the supply of the contracted service. All data can be modified via any type of communication to the organisation, as stipulated by law.

RAIDS AL VENT recommends that you take out insurance. There are three options available:

1. Contract Raids al vent insurance for a price of €6
2. Regional bike-tourist permit, contracted from the Federació Catalana de Ciclisme (Catalan Cycling Federation). The contact telephone number is 93 301 24 44.

In case of Bike hire

Bikes must always be collected from and returned to the same location, unless agreed otherwise.
Those persons responsible for collecting and returning the bike must be over the age of eighteen.

Bike hire payment will be made when the bikes are collected, according to the rates listed at the centre. The condition of the bike and accessories will be checked when they are returned.

When the bike is collected, clients will be asked to pay a deposit of €100 per bike, unless valid
ID is handed in to the centre or place where the bike hire takes place.

The client is responsible for taking care of the bike and hired equipment in order to prevent damage, loss or theft. In case of loss or theft, the client must make the corresponding payments according to the list of replacement materials priced at market value, provided by management at the centre where the bike hire took place.

If the bike is damaged and cannot be used, the client must return the bike and hired equipment to the start point from which it was collected. If the client does not do this, the deposit will not be returned and s/he will be charged for collection, referred to in the previous point.
